Dear visitors,

Below you will find information about the partial postponement of the festival to the BANAD Festival autumn edition which will take place from 26 September to 4 October 2020, as well as answers to the most frequently asked questions since the crisis began. We have tried to be as transparent as possible in the answers.

What are the options for visitors?

Explore.Brussels invites you to participate in the guided tours and other activities you have booked on their new dates in the autumn.

However, it has not been possible to re-arrange all the guided tours and activities in the autumn. For these events only, you can choose one or more of the following options:

1) Request a voucher for the value of your booking that can be used to pay for any activity organised by Explore.Brussels in 2020, including the BANAD Festival autumn edition, the guided tours of Art Nouveau mansions and the Brussels Neoclassical Biennale (BBN)

2) Make a donation to Explore.Brussels of all or part of the value of your booking.

3) Request a voucher for the value of your booking to use at the BANAD Festival 2021 (on condition that sufficient resources are available).

The choice is completely up to you, though, if possible, we would encourage you to choose one or both of the first two options to minimise the financial impact of the crisis on our non-profit association, so that we can get back to normal by January 2021. We ask you to let us know your choice by 30 April 2020 at the latest.

How will all this work in practice?

As all of the 3,500 bookings received are different, the Explore.Brussels team has chosen to create a mini website called BANAD Festival autumn edition which gives details of what to do. We would appreciate it if you could please read the instructions carefully before contacting Explore.Brussels.

Why could you not simply postpone the entire BANAD Festival 2020 to the autumn?

Unfortunately this was not possible: organising the festival takes a year, given its precise timings and the number of building owners and other partners involved. What is more, most of the payments in advance required had already been made when the festival was cancelled at the last minute in March. Also, the Explore.Brussels team is already working on the organisation of the BANAD Festival 2021.

The Explore.Brussels team thanks you again for your support, your patience and your encouragement. Take care and stay well!

Together, let us continue to bring the heritage buildings of Brussels to life!

The Explore.Brussels a.s.b.l. team.
