SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2025
Meeting Point
Avenue de Roodebeek 103, 1030 Schaerbeek
Henri Jacobs designed this functional school complex with great attention to detail, as was often the case in Art Nouveau buildings. The first part of the complex opened in 1913 and the rest in 1922. The façades around the courtyards inside the blocks are a polychromatic blend of Belgian bluestone and yellow and red bricks. Jacobs commissioned Privat Livemont and Maurice Langaskens to decorate the large playgrounds. During the BANAD Festival, the building will host the 10th Art Nouveau and Art Deco Collectors' and Valuation Fair.
