FAQ
What happens if I do not send my "Choice" email to you by Thursday 30 April?
Explore.Brussels accepts a tolerance until May 31. After this day, your reservation will be considered as a donation to the Explore.Brussels non-profit association and we thank you for your generosity at this difficult time.
Some of the guided tours/activities I booked are postponed and others are not. What should I do?
For the postponed guided tours/activities, follow the instructions above. For the others, choose one or more options from the My Choice of Options page for the value of these bookings.
Why is the process so complicated?
The BANAD Festival operates a system that allows participants to only book and pay for the activities and guided tours in which they want to participate, at a range of prices depending on their personal situations. Thus, each booking is unique. The downside of this is that, in case of force majeure, we cannot simply offer a blanket solution to every participant, because we are dealing with 3,500 unique bookings.
Why do I have to rebook guided tours of interiors that I had already booked?
As each participant's booked programme is unique, it is likely that the reprogramming of a three-weekend event over two weekends will mean it is impossible to entirely transfer the programme you booked for March.
The only parts of the original programme that we have been able to reschedule in their entirety are the guided tours of the interiors of the Solvay and Max Hallet houses, for which supplements were paid.
Where can I find my booking number?
You can find it here
What should I do if I have lost my booking number?
You can quote the email address or the name used for the booking in the title of your "Choice" email instead.
I can't work out the value I'm entitled to, what should I do?
- Example 1: "I want a voucher for 50% of the value of my booking for the BANAD Festival autumn edition and to donate the other 50% to the Explore.Brussels non-profit association".
- Example 2: "I want to use €20 from the value of my booking to book two guided tours at the BANAD Festival autumn edition and to donate the balance to the Explore.Brussels non-profit association".
My guided tour/activity has been postponed but I can't attend on the new date, what should I do?
You can transfer your booking for the postponed guided tour/activity to someone else, who should simply quote your name at the door.
Why have only some of the tours/activities been postponed and not the entire BANAD Festival?
Each BANAD Festival takes a year to organise, given the number of partners involved. What is more, in 2020, the Festival had to be cancelled on the day it was due to start, when most of the expenses involved had already been paid. However, members of the Explore.Brussels team are already working on the 2021 BANAD Festival.
Will the public be able to book guided tours/activities at the BANAD Festival autumn edition?
Until Thursday 30 April 2020, only participants who had booked guided tours/activities for the BANAD Festival in March will be able to book guided tours/activities for the autumn edition. After that date, any remaining places can be booked by members of the public. That is why we have asked existing ticket-holders to choose their options before 30 April 2020.
What happens if I send my "Choice" email before the deadline but I have not received a reply by 1 May?
Your request is valid and you will receive a reply as soon as possible.
I can't remember the guided tours/activities I booked for the BANAD festival in March 2020, what should I do?
The full programme is still online at www.banad.brussels/en/program/full-program so you can check it there.
Do I need to rebook the guided tours of interiors for the BANAD Festival autumn edition via a new booking process?
No, your programme and tickets will be emailed to you by the Explore.Brussels team, subject to availability.
