ART NOUVEAU 1
Victor Horta, 1909 - 1912

In 1909, the Wolfers brothers, goldsmiths and jewellers, turned to Victor Horta to design their new shops. The architect planned a vast complex including the goldsmiths' workshops, administrative floors and shops. The building retains its original monumental staircase, while the furnishings are displayed in the Royal Museums of Art and History since 1977. Today, the space is occupied by the SWECO company (an architecture and engineering consultancy) which has installed its “Urban Insight Lab” there (https://www.swecogroup.com/urban-insight/).
