Victor Horta, 1898-1901

In 1898, the architect Victor Horta bought two plots of land in the rue Américaine in Saint-Gilles to build his own house and studio. The building took three years to complete. It illustrates the architect's genius through curved lines, light and innovative materials. In 1969, the Horta Museum was opened, and this intimate residence was opened to the general public.

Since last year, the Musée Horta has been undergoing several restoration projects. The exceptional guided tour on Saturday 21 March invites you to discover the museum from another angle, by immersing yourself in the work of the architects, craftsmen and restorers who are working to preserve it. You'll learn about the techniques and skills used to restore this remarkable heritage.

Please note that the tour focuses exclusively on the restoration work and does not cover the entire museum.
