Gustave Strauven, 1902
Gustave Strauven excelled in the design and building of narrow houses on irregularly shaped plots of land in an exuberant Art Nouveau style. In 1902, he built this house for himself on a banana-shaped plot barely 375cm wide! The interior spaces are laid out either side of the stairwell, which is built at the angle of the plot.
