ART DECO 1
Joseph Diongre, 1929

Designed in 1929 by Joseph Diongre, to whom we owe a wide range of buildings, typologies and styles in the Brussels Region, the Averbouch house has a large, perfectly symmetrical Art Deco façade. Behind this elegant sobriety one finds a residence with similarly aesthetically balanced volumes and decorations, chic without being ostentatious: parquet floors, fluted moldings, marble, stained glass, a skylight... Both a family home and the Palm Beach art gallery, this is a magnificent example of how it is possible to combine respect for architectural heritage with life in harmony with one's own time.
