Jean van Hall, 1901

This large building, symmetrical on the upper floor, actually houses two connected houses, built from 1901 based on the plans of architect Jean Van Hall. He reserved the larger of the two for himself, while the smaller was intended for a commercial space. The entire décor, in geometric Art Nouveau style, showcases a beautiful mix of techniques and materials: stained glass and wrought iron featuring dragonfly and butterfly motifs, pink sandstone blocks, wooden niches… The interior contains an impressive number of small rooms. The house underwent renovation from 2011 to 2020. Today, as the headquarters of the Roger Langbehn Association for education through the arts and respect for nature, Maison Langbehn hosts the activities of this non-profit organization.
