Jules Libois, 1930

Designed by architect Jules Libois in 1930 for Mr and Mrs Edmond Seulen, this floral Art Deco mansion was built in the style of a mansion house. The woodwork, fireplaces, wrought-iron railings and remarkable stained-glass skylights providing abundant natural light have all been preserved. Today, the house is home to The British International School of Brussels, which has been offering education to English-speaking children aged 3 to 11 since 2000. Taking advantage of this original setting, the children continue to bring it to life by adding numerous drawings, illustrating the contemporary occupation of this much-loved building.
