BOOKED: The Van Buuren Museum explained to children

Two guided tours specially designed for children and their carers are on offer as part of this tenth edition of the BANAD Festival.
Through a fun and interactive approach, children will learn to recognise the characteristics of Art Deco architecture. They will explore the many rooms of this house and discover what life was like in such a residence at the time.

The Villa Empain and its secrets

In partnership with the CIVA, the Boghossian Foundation is hosting an activity specially designed for children under 12. They will visit the Villa Empain, discover its history and Art Deco with a capital A. Guided by trained facilitators, they will learn to observe shapes, decorative features and materials, and thus to look at and interpret architecture in a new way. A wonderful opportunity to learn, be amazed and explore together.

Who is building Brussels?

‘Who is building Brussels?’ is a fun, interactive activity designed for children, teenagers and adults, to be enjoyed with the family or with like-minded people, aged 7 to 99.
Through building facades to observe and colour in, as well as an interactive quiz, participants discover the architects and major architectural movements that have shaped the city, as well as the key moments in its history.
The activity encourages participants to look at Brussels in a new light and to understand how it has been built and transformed through its architecture.
This activity is organised with the support of the ULB Faculty of Architecture and the University for Children (ULB).
