60. Clockarium

Housed in an Art Deco house designed by the architect Gustave Bossuyt (1935), the Clockarium is a remarkable private museum dedicated to Art Deco earthenware clocks. In days gone by, these mantelpiece ornaments – the first clocks affordable to all budgets – proudly adorned every little house in Belgium. This unmissable fashion trend gave rise to millions of fanciful clocks. The museum exhibits over 1,000 of them! Guided tours of the house and its collection will be led by the collectors who own the property.
