Henri Jacobs, 1907–1922

Here, Henri Jacobs designed a functional school complex where attention to detail – as is often the case in Art Nouveau buildings – is by no means neglected. The first buildings were opened in 1913 and the subsequent ones in 1922. The complex is situated within a block and features polychrome façades, created by the combination of blue stone and yellow and red bricks. Privat Livemont and Maurice Langaskens were commissioned to decorate the large courtyards. The building hosts a fair showcasing Art Nouveau and Art Deco objects, as well as a trade fair for heritage restoration specialists.
