30. Folle Chanson Palace

Built in 1928 on the corner of Boulevard Général Jacques and Avenue de la Folle Chanson, this remarkable luxury apartment block certainly lives up to its name as a ‘palace’.
Designed by the architect Antoine Courtens in the Art Deco style, it boasts a particularly refined interior featuring a combination of marble, brass, frosted glass, wrought ironwork, panelling and more. On the top floor, a corner rotunda—whose upper dome features a star-shaped design evoking the seven streets of the Étoile roundabout—opens onto two terraces offering visitors a unique view. The building houses a permanent installation by Philippe Leblanc, a contemporary architect.
